Adrian doesn’t consider himself a Guru nor does he want to be affiliated with that term. He is a day trading grinder that has been doing this since 1998. With a fantastic track record that he can prove and keeps his leverage around 2-1 on a daily basis. Once you see his track record you will begin to get excited.
He shows an example of a trading account that had a starting balance of $30,000 dollars at the beginning of the year, and only trades 300 shares at a time, which then grew to over $44,000 as of the middle of November. This is a serious nice gain on this account with only 300 shares traded. Had he applied the maximum leverage, trading 1000 shares, the same account would a value over $79,000. That equated to gain of over 165%. That is some serious gains using the Daily Momentum Trader.
Adrian has come a long way before becoming a successful day trader. A former ski nut and musician with a MBA in psychology from Claremont University, Adrian’s background is a lot different then most traders amongst us. Not all traders went to school for trading, but self taught traders are some of the best day traders out there.
From studying organizational psychology of large groups he has been able to adopt a pretty strong intelligence of how the markets move. He comes to his trading desk with a certain amount of stocks to trade. He does not veer away from the plan. If nothing triggers he doesn’t trade, it is that simple. He looks for moderate profit each day with minimal leverage needed. He has his entries, stops, target profits and stop losses all prepared before he makes the trade. All this information is given to his students. Another great thing about creating this nightly trading plan are the patterns he seeks. The trades he spots occur time and time again. This gives constant setups almost every day. This is intraday trading at the finest level. No stock is held over night. This avoids any nightly gap that could really hurt his cash position the next day.
Adrian never risks more than (0.005%) of his account on one trade, and positions are closed by the end of the day. There is something to be said for minimal risk. We like high reward, but sometimes you need to take on a lot of smaller risk setups to get the high reward. It pays off in the long run.
