GBPJPY Robot Up 119%

What a great three days for our Forex Trading Robot. Not only was our goal for this robot met, but it blew by it by 19%. Here is a break down of how things started and where we are today.

We started trading the robot on a demo account on February 20, 2008 with $5,000. Except for a few days, due to the rules of the robot, we took at least one trade a day during the live trading hours for two months. This is roughly 40 trading days in total. We saw only minor drawdown on the account and strong moves to the positive side. These last three trading days set our record with flying colors.

Our $5,ooo demo account now stands at $10,959 which is an increase of 119%.

If we were running this live, would we be as successful? The answer is YES. There is a but, which is the money management factor. We most likely wouldn’t have risked so much per trade for this robot. Although emotions were put to the side, We were putting 20% of our account at risk per day, if we lost 2 trades in a single day. A more realistic number would have been 1-5 mini lots per trade versus a standard lot. Another thing that would need to be considered are the rebates we would have made if this account was live, so our profit would have been even bigger.
